Doseing with b-ionic 2part

When should i add the alk and when should i add the calcium i have heard a couple minutes away from each other and alk day calcium night which way is the best

 

depends to some degree as to where you are dosing

if you are dosing into a high flow area, so that the 1st part gets distributed about the set up reasonably quickly, you can dose the 2nd part a few minutes later

the main concern with dosing to close together is localised precipitation, in that there could be to many ions in a small volume of water and some of them fall out of solution

some Alk additives are best added at night as they increase PH , which is best done when lights are out and PH is naturally falling anyway

Ive been dealing with this same issue and thanks to the input I've received here, I'm dosing my alk at 11pm and my ca at 11am...its working out great!

 

I myself dose with bionic you should at tre part 1 into a high flow area of the tank wait untill the little white specs are completely dissolved and then add part two how lOng have you been dosing?

 

I just dosed for the first time last night 5 ml of part one at 7 pm and 5ml of part 2 at 7:40 going to try that out and see how it works

 

The alk part will raise your ph. Tis why it is recommended to dose it at night. Calcium gets used up more during daylight. Tis why it is recommended to dose it during daylight. It was also recommended to dose at least 12hrs apart.
