I myself, if all the corals and fish look good and no signs of stress I would let it come down on it's own over the course of a few days.

Did you dissolve the kalk and let the powder settle out first?

Corals and fish and shrimp look ok worried about the shrimp with the alk being so high. Clam is closed up.

I started my GFO I have noticed that the GFO will help and rise ph thanks to the apex when it comes on the PH starts to rise. PH now 7.98. The lowiest that it goes over the night is 7.93 normal. Then the GFO kicks in then it goes up to 8.1

LOL, I would be thrilled with that swing.

Once it settles down and you want to get up to 8.2-8.4 just go a lot slower.

You can also try reverse fuge/sump lighting.... increasing surface agitation.

Do you have an ATO? Can you use that at a more diluted concentration?

I already have the Fuge/sump lighting on different times then the DT. I took out my pumps that I had at the top in the back of the tank for the surface agitation. I added in my new MP40 just got it this week. Getting the second one tomarow.

Corailline Thanks for all the help this last year. I don't know if you remember but I started out with a 45gal tank with 5 LR in it. I have come along way in a year. This next year should be fun. I have on order 2 acan Prisms 600PA-18B. Hope to get them before the end of the year. On Back order. They are going to replace my 36" marineland LED and my 36" T5's.

Everytime I have a problem or a question you are the first to chime in and point me in the right direction. Again Thank You.

Sounds like you have it under control.

Way ahead of me in the equipment department.

I would say your ph of 8 +/- .15 is pretty good.

Not sure if it's been discussed, but what's the ph of your kalk mix? It should be around 12.
