    Hello
Im trying to deside what would be the best doseing setup for my 40g breeder tank. What I have is a 40g DT and a 20g long refug/sump, with a oxtupus 180 insump skimmer and a mag 5 return pump. No live rock, powerheads or lighting yet. The plan is to a have mostly LPS reef setup, and in trying to figure out what 2 part doseing pump/unit I should get/use for my tank size. Im also wondering if I should only use a 2 pump setup, just auto doseing Cal and Alk and manualy doseing Mg and trace elements, or a 3 pump unit auto doseing Cal,Alk and Mg. With my size tank would Mg be worth auto doseing? If I chouse to manual dose it how often would I have to dose it when fully stocked ( roughly)?

Oh yah. For my doseing I'm going with BRS 2 part

one other thing. With my tank being a newly started tank with none to very low doseing needs. Should I just hold off on the doseing pumps/timers and just manualy dose or should I just go ahead and already have it setup and ready to dose away?

    Thanks alot.

Somthing I just got done looking at is the profilux line of equipment. I have to say that it looks like very nice stuff. It kinda got me thinking about a few things. Like I posted above I'm just now ready to buy alot of my equipment that requires timers and whatnot. Anotherwords I still need my lighting unit (tek 6 bulb unit is the plan), wavemaker/powerheads, heaters, doser unit, powerbars and timers. What I was originaly planning is to have just a basic setup of good equipment on a set of ok digital timers. Now after see the profilux stuff I'm wondering if their is a nice kinda all in one setup I guess you could call it that would be good for my size tank. I really like the concept of one control plannal that I could control most everything. Know keep in mind this is for a 40g DT not no 400g pimp reef. So I'm not trying to spend to much but given I was going to be buying all of that equipment individually, just wondering if their is equipment that i could buy where I could make it an all in one unit with a control panel or what not and spend close to the same price give a little extra for the extra cool factor :)

    thanks. Hope that made since
