I started dosing Kalkwasser about 3 weeks ago, I drip dose using an aquadose system. Im not sure why, but I cannot seem to get my PH to 8.3 at all, the most I can get to is around 1.27 and then it drops. Yesterday it was around 1.27 and today it is around 1.13. What am I doing wrong? I am using about 2 tablespoons per gallon of RODI. I drip 24/7.

How are you testing and why do you want 8.3 pH?

I have a Digital Aquatics RKL, my PH probe constantly reads the current PH. I have read that corals grow better and fish are more happy at a PH around 1.3. Im really new at dosing Kalk and basically monitoring PH in general. I have allready noticed results in my corals since dosing, they are more open, brighter, and I can see an increase in growth.

Do not try to hit a certain #; instead aim to maintain one. Around 8.1 or 8.2 is still perfectly acceptable!
