Dosing Kalk

Looking for a good quality kalk stirrer for my new 210 build.

I don't have a reservoir for my ATO because it pull directly from the RO/DI unit.

Anyone have a suggestion on how to dose kalk or a good product to automate it.

 

Precision Marine or Deltec for the price of a Kalk stirrer you could buy a CA reactor

Trying to avoid the Co2, but I will probably end up just doing that. I'm still unclear of the all the advantages/disadvantages between all the different methods of dosing. From what I've gathered so far, there is:

Manual dosing of liquids
Auto dosing of liquids
Kalk into my ATO res
Kalk stirrers/reactors
and Calcium reactors.

Still unclear as to the exact difference terms of effect on the tank.

 

i buy seachem when I cant get my hands on kalk from walmart of publix. all are reliable sources for my needs i have found.

I use the Aquamedic Kalk Stirrer 1000:

Kalkwasser Stirrer 1000 by AquaMedic - AquaCave

It is rated for 400gal. Works great, just plum your ATO line into the stirrer the out to your sump.

They also make a 5000 version rated for 1250gal:

Overkill for your 210 - LOL

Could you snap a photo of your Kalk setup? I too am thinking of going this route.

 

Here is the Aquamedic Kalk Stirrer 1000 setting on top of my ATO container.
I have a Tunze Osmolator - the pump in the ATO container is plumbed into the kalk stirrer (flow enters at the bottom of the stirrer) and the effluent flows out (from the top of the stirrer) into the sump.
