    ok so i made a gallon of kalk solution where im confused at is if i add the gallon of ks as top off water or do i set it up as a drip system testing my ph every hour help im very new to kalk

    set it up as a drip system i beleive if you add it all at once you can raise the ph

    i believe it's suppose to drip....

    if you use a tube like you would to siphon and clean your tank... get it siphoned, then tie a knot in the tube. you can control the drip by how tight you make the knot. or put a valve on it and you can adjust it accordingly

    If you read the directions on the kalkwasser, it will tell you how slowly to drip as per your water volume.

    so im gonna start the drip slow as possible and adjust it as necessary and test saltnity and ph every hour does this sound like a plan

    I run all my top off water through a kalk reactor. So when the system ask for water it flows through lime water before it enters the tank. I have mine set at a fast drip but I am also controlling the pH will a probe off my controller so it it gets too high then I shut the water off and rely on my backup top off to work. If you add it too fast there can be complications....serious ones.
