I had exactly the same issue John
my dosing lines where full of precipitate whilst using the Reef builder - Seachem
I switched to Kents coral builder ( I do not have access to Arm and Hammer etc here)

basically with the Kent product, I can dissolve almost twice as much in a given volume of RO - 2 teaspoons per 300 mils, as opposed to 1 teaspoon with precipitation using Seachem product

this means I only need to dose 150 mils of fluid from that reservoir and my 2.5 litre canister lasts twice as long between refills , and even so, I still get minimal precipitation in the canister

No BRS recipe #2. 1 1/8 cup of sodium bicarbonate to a gallon of water. You can't get much more in solution.

Seachem uses a mix of salts to create the product which makes it very difficult to get and keep in solution for dosing purposes.

My issue was the impellers seizing on the pumps.

Nice. Same same though really. His calls for 1 1/8 cups as well. In a gallon that gives the solution a dKH of 2660, or say it says. I've always wanted to try it but never have because my pH is always around normal. Not having to bake the soda would be great though.

My pH runs between 8 and 8.2 depending on the time of year and the time of day. No problems with anything with the pH differences.
