I am using the ESV B-Ionic 2 part calcium buffer system. My question is does it have to be used in equal parts or can i adjust one or the other part to compensate. My calcium is 400 and I want it around 450.My Dkh is 8.0 and i want it at least 10. I have just finished raising my SG (slowly) to 1.025 while raising my mag to 1360(target 1400).So im getting there.Just confused about the equal parts thing because if i add equal parts 1ml of each will raise my calcium and dkh respectivly 16ppm and 2.07Dkh.Leaving my Dkh good but my calcium 34ppm short of my target.

i don't know about the two part stuff, but i'm sure there are others here that do. i dose all mine seperatly with bulk stuff from bulk reef supply. calcium chloride, soda ash and magnesium chloride. their website has a easy to use dosing calculator for each. don't know for sure, but they might even have one for the two part that they sell also.

of course you can. equal 2 parts are made for that reason. x mls will raise the ca/alk respectively, if equal amounts are used make it easier to use/understand. ca and alk wont fall the same amount over a given time.

So would i then add more of the calcium component only to make up the 34ppm?
