Does anyone use or dose any Strontium/Molybdenum and or Iodide to their tanks regularly?

It seems there are a million things out there to add to your tank for coral growth, I just wanna know what is best to do.

Right now I dont dose anything except Mg and Ca when needed...thats it. I do water changes once a month and all levels remain very constant.

But I want some nice SPS, LPS coral growth and was wondering if anything will help that.

Also I hear a lot of people dosing the Part A and B all the time, I have never done that just b/c everything is very stable with my Ph, Ca, Mg, and Kh....is that weird that I dont dose the A & B?

I know I asked a few questions in this thread...sorry!

Amcarrig and Tangster add Strontium. However, that's because the way they filter their water, they hardly ever have to do water changes. I can't see the need to dose Sr unless your tank is like theirs. I wouldn't dose Iodine unless my tank was predominately macroalgaes or decorative sponges.

For people like you doing a monthly water changes, I can't imagine a need unless you fall into one of the exceptions above.

It's not weird at all. It just means your monthly waterchange is able to keep up with the amount of Calcium and Alkalinity (and Magnesium) that your corals are taking out.
