14gBC that has been running 1 month and 10 days.

    Green:

I have these green looking possible algae or plant deals that are reproducing. I notice a new stub every week or so. The base of each is white in color, making them look almost calcium based. Nothing feeds on the them or messes with them. They add a nice bit of intense green color (although the camera won't pic that up)

    Brown:

These reproduce at a slower rate. Light penetrates them to the point where you could almost see through them.

Anyway, just curious of a ID. Thanks for any info...

The green stuff is Neomeris sp. A macro algae that I think is pretty cool but some consider it a nuisance.
I can't tell what the reddish thing is.

Yeah i'm not going to do anything with the green stuff. It is ultra bright/neon green and doesn't seem to be bothering anything. I'll leave it alone unless someone thinks it's a problem...

Below is a close-up of the brown colored....stuff. It is not bubble algae, or bubble algae that I know of. It has a single base with 'leaves' branching outward. Hard to tell in the pic, I know. It's total size is that of a pencils eraser...

I think you got it. It looks like that found in the pic at this thread..

Botryocladia leptopoda (J.Agardh) Kylin :: Algaebase

Should I keep it? Or should I be concerned with it? Is it considered a 'bubble algae'? It is very small at this point and reproduces slowly.

Thanks again everyone. Well done with the ID's. Spot-on accurate.
