Good to know. I'll look around and pick a few up. Thanks!

Thanks, Chuyr. It's still a work in progress but so far I'm really happy with it. I think you will be too.

So I took apart my MP10 dryside to replace the bearings in hopes of quieting it down some. I ordered a couple 7x14x5 bearings based on the experiences of others replacing them. Everywhere I've seen shows this as the correct size for the mp10.

After carefully pulling my dryside apart I see the bearings inside are close but not quite the same as the ones I ordered. The bearing in my dryside are sized 6x15x5.

I'm going to have to see if they will replace them or take them back. $9 a piece and I've got nothing to do with them.. I think I'll check out the RC store tomorrow and see if I can find the correct size.

Sure when you're ready ask away - I'll answer what I can.

Equipment-wise I still have to get my ato float switch mount created and installed. Get the bearings swapped for the MP10. I'll also be upgrading my Reef Angel to the Plus version with newer version relay box and keeping my current one as an expansion. I'm also picking up the RF module for the Reef Angel as well so I can cycle through all the different modes on my MP10 throughout the day.

Livestock-wise I'm good on fish I think. 2 clowns, Coral Beauty and a Royal Gamma. I plan to pick up a few more paly's and ric's and then I'll let the tank marinate for awhile.

Thanks for the offer but I'm in South Jersey near Philly - a pretty good ways from Houston. I looked up BocaBearings return policy where I got my originals
and it looks like they're willing to swap them out for me. Just need to wait on shipping. Strangely enough when I put the dryside back together it seems to have quieted down a little bit. However now it feels like it's pulsing a little bit for some reason in Reef Crest mode.. It's hard to tell and really subtle, though.. Could just be my imagination.

Thanks Chelsea. It's slowly coming along :)

Today I did the first water change. I was surprised at how quickly everything went. I was able to get everything done in about 1/3 the time of when I used to change on my 55 gallon. It's nice not having to pull out a bunch of pumps and equipment to clean.

I also got around to building my float mount for the RA floats. I picked up a thin piece of acrylic and nylon screw and butterfly nut a little while ago. I made the mount so that the float portion can slide up and down the mount portion. This lets me fine tune the height of the floats in the 3rd chamber. All together the project cost me a few dollars and an hour or so of my time. This was my first attempt at bending acrylic. Having thin acrylic and a mini torch to tackle the job with made it surprisingly easy. I have the second switch a bit higher than the main one to act as a fail safe. I didn't plan out the placement of my drip tubes too well. It was close, but I was worried that the supp's would drip right on the floats. I used a scrap piece of acrylic and some silicone to make a little shield to redirect the drops should they want to land on the floats.

    Here's the final product:

I still have find some spare wire and extend the wires to the head unit of my Reef Angel. I also need to code up the ATO behavior. Before I do any of that though, I want to pick up the expansion relay box because as it stands, I'm all out of available relays on my original box :(

    More to come..
