I am having to move and am not going to be able to take my 125 gallon reed tank with me. I am going to be downsizing to a 29 gallon Bio Cube, and I am able to transition somewhat slowly, but my question has to do with a current outbreak of flatworms in my 125 gallon  I would like to start up the 29 gallon with items out of my large tank, Is there a way I can treat the live rock for flatworms before I place it in the new tank? Can I dip the live rock just as I would any corals before the transfer? I am just not sure what to do there? Any advice would be appreciated.

One way is to just let it cure for a few days, then seed again later

I have heard dipping the rock in ro/di water or just let it sit out and they will eventually come out.
