Here is the stag in the last pic, it looks a little brown on camera, but it has a nice blue hue in person, under the dawn/dusk setting it is really blue

If I could only take better pics we would be better off!!
I am still messing with the setting to show the colors more accurately, as well as how to take them better without blurring them!!

the growth rates have caught me by surprise, dont know anything worth knowing about SPS , and if I had not seen these pictures, I would never have thought that they could double in size in 6 months, as some of your have done

Pink birds nest , is definitely one I will look out for, as not only is the growth staggering in terms of size, its also amazing in terms of complexity a great looking piece IMO

Alot of the pieces have grown fast, the seriatopora(pink birdnest) is much faster growing and better colored under lower PAR... I have a couple pieces that are in the 400s and look washed out and grow slow while that one is vibrant and growing like a weed.
I think it is in the 200uMol range.

More pics to come most likely tomorrow...
Just swapped lamps around the other day and while they are not as balanced as before the color looks better, at least to me.

Noticed I am using over 2/3c of two part a day... Probably need to go close to a cup as the alk is still creeping down.

Added a dragonfaced pipefish, well two but the female was bullied to death by my purple tang within the first couple days. Male is doing great and by far the most interesting fish in the tank, and the kids favorite!!

looking forward to the pics Doc

for my benefit and the benefit of other T5 users would it be to much trouble, if I asked you to put a league table of the species of SPS you have kept
number 1 - best colour and best growth ( speed of growth)

down to number ??? not coloured great and not grown great but does OK

    A ranking if you like

hope you get what I mean - as this will help any people who are looking to get into SPS as they could start with species at number 1 and 2 etc and leave the other ones alone until they gain experience

I know this may vary from person to person, reef to reef, lighting scheme to lighting scheme - but for T5 users this would be helpful IMO

Yeah Steve I could do that, but it would be kind of tough, for example one of the fastest if not the fastest grower is my German blue polyped montipora digitata, it is growing so fast I want to get rid of it, BUT it is not the most colorful piece in the tank....It is grey with blue polyps...
But no fear Steve I will compile a list of SPS that are great for T5 or beginner SPS tanks
