wow hard 2 say, they both look great but i see alot of positive feedback at reefermaddness :) where is dr.macs located...well i suppose if u plan on spending more then 150$ u wont need to pay shipping...that pretty good considering most of the reefermaddness corals r 100 but u can also get 10 frags for 150...thats great!

Well, I don't know much about reefermadness, however, Dr. Mac is somewhat local to me. (2+ hours away, in MD).

While I have not seen their facility, those in my reef club who have seen it, say it is fabulous and worth the ride just to see it!

They have brought corals to some of our meetings, frags, bigger pieces, clams, etc. What they brought was really nice stuff!

I have never heard a single bad thing about Dr. Mac from anyone on line or in person!

Curing LR usually takes about a month. Keep the lights off to prevent algae blooms.

hmmm, off completly? damm...i guess ill cure it in a bag or somthing...i need to test the mhs in the nano...ugh...so wait, basically curing is that when u put the rock into ur tank, eveything dies from shock and u dont want all the dead stuff right?

When you cure LR, you want to pick off any dead or dying organisms. You want to do it in a separate tank because of the excessive amounts of ammonia that accumulate during the curing process. These ammonia spikes can be lethal to tank inhabitants.

You can actually cure LR in a garbage can with a heater and powerhead to keep the water flow moving.

well, im beta testing the tank, so i can go 1 month without anything in it...but i wont be able to get any mantis shrimp or any other bad dudes if i put it in my tank right? would the best thing 2 do is just cure it in a trash bag? or...do i need a skimmer?
