Dr. Manhattan is beating up Ozymandias

So I went into my LFS today to order a B&W Ocellaris and they had the cutest Royal Gamma (Ozymandius), which I've been wanting anyway, so I picked him up. Now, I know that Damselfish are mean but I didn't realize just how mean. It's been a while since I added a new fish, but I never had any problems in the past. Suffice it to say my blue damsel, Dr. Manhattan is not happy with the new addition. Luckily, Ozy has found a nice little hole to chill in where Manhattan can't get him. Just wondering how long this will go on. Will Manhattan eventually chill out? If not I think he might just get voted off the reef.

 

Royal gramma can be as aggressive as damsel. If they can't stop going after each other, move damsel to the sump for a while (if you can catch him) and reintroduce him to your tank later.

 

Well, it's good to know that Ozy can hold his own I guess. I'll give them a few days to establish the pecking order. I'm oddly attached to the Dr. so i hope they work it out.

I think the Dr. won the battle. I knew where Ozy was hiding on Friday, but I haven't seen him since then. Not even when I feed. I think the Dr. might have to go since I have a B&W Ocellaris on order and would be crushed if Dr. Manhattan tried to kill him too. Bummer, I really liked the new fish too.
