Ughh...I have been wondering why I was losing about a gallon of water a day. I was chalking it up to evaporation...After about 4 days I began to think something was definitely wrong..I looked behind the sump and sure enough there were 3 small holes in the drain hose. The carpet behind the tank was completely soaked...Since it was a Sunday at about 8 pm when I noticed this I just hung the hose over the sump so the water would leak directly into the sump. I contacted the vendor, Eshopps, and they immediately said they would ship me a new one at no costs. They also offered to send me 3 micron filter bags which the water is filtered through before entering the sump. I could not ask for anything more when it comes to customer service. Believe me, I get more and more angry with the LFS who sold us this setup. I called them first and they said that they do sell the replacement parts. Although they are the best place in town when it comes to coral, fish, and supplies we would rather drive 40 miles to northern va. or the suburbs of dc. then deal with them...Oh well, I give a big hooray to Eshopps....8)

I tell anyone the corrugated hose people use from tank to sump are not only loud But they crack and split all the time.. I have seen them to actually cone off of the pipe stub they where pushed up on.. You would be better off just getting large vinyl tubing to use..

I didn't want any trouble with mine so I replace all of them with the high pressure braided hose they sell at Lowes. Works perfectly. Just enough flexibility but a lot more strength.
