125G with two overflows drilled. Two drains 1 1/4" not enough to keep up with the Reef Flo Dart. I like the turn over of the pump and don't really want to reduce the pump. My question is..... Currently I have one of the holes in the overflow compartment as the drain the other as the return. I would like to continue using the Durso stand pipe as is and convert the return into a drain using some other type of quiet drain. I'm not sure two durso's will fit. If it will I will try that. The return then will be upgraded to 1" pipe I would love to buy a SCWD and have the returns hang over the side of the tank. Need some help with this part if anyone else has done the same thing It will help with planning.

I had that same mentality with my 90 upgrade I recently did with 1" overflows....I didn't want to slow down my pump much so i ran the overflow at it's max capacity. Then of course one night when i'm not at home a snail decided to crawl in there and restrict the flow. So I had more pumping in the tank than draining out. I slowed down the flow by half and found that my tank is looking healthier now since I guess my sump is doing its filtering job more efficiently. That's just my .02....My thing was getting as much flow in the tank as possible by using the least amount of powerheads. You might have a different reason for the high flow through the sump than me. Going back to your question maybe a duel Stockman style overflow will help you out with keeping things compact.
