I'm worried my cloves might be bleaching a little, they are at the very bottom of my tank. I'm running one T8 50/50. The GSP didn't open for about 3 days after I bought it, I attribute that to some of the small polyps lacking color. I'm currently running my lights 12 hours, do you think I should cut back?

IMO i would upgrade your lighting to atleast a 2 bulb t5, but leaving your T8 running atleast 12hrs a day is perfect

I've got a two bulb setup on order. The only real downside of going to two-bulb is I'm then going to have to get a new canopy, which I suppose isn't really a downside.

    Skimmer

I've been controlling my protein buildup by scooping of the top water when I conduct my water change. However' I'm pretty sure that I need to lower my jets, AND increase my surface movement. So I'm thinking of putting an HOB protein skimmer. Any recommendations?

Nice looking rockwork. I built a canopy from homedepot for about 50$ for my 75gal.

Dual bulb HO T5's came in today! My tank looks better than ever I am sooo excited! I went with a flat glass cover, added 3 blue legged hermits and a sand sifting snail. Also put on an activated carbon filter. I LOVE this hobby!
