Thats a Good Word tangster. I have a HOT Skimmer and should look into fabricating a Skimmer Box for the feed pump of it.

As far as drilling I would like to but Im too much of a wuss to try it right now i think. If i had money ready to get a new tank in case of disaster i would try it, but i dont at the moment. My 6 wk old baby is eating and pooping all my money away at the moment! lol

That Youtube vid of tank drilling makes it look so easy.

"Tanks" 4 all your help and input guys!

    The thing about Video Cameras...

...is that they let you edit out the dull part. Did you catch the cut in the drilling process? That's a couple of MINUTES they just removed.

Drilling a tank isn't so much drilling as grinding away the glass, and it takes time. I guarantee those two minutes will feel like an hour if your livestock depend on a successful drilling.

Oh geez. I have nightmares of shattering glass, massive flooding, and plenty of 'adjectives'. Me thinks that drilling a fool tank is not for the foolhardy. All I can say is if you go through with it then good luck.:)

Look I have drilled a ton of tanks and I'll loan you the bit its easy to do and all BUT :) there is always a but Just be totally sure its not a tempered tank! I was drilling a old tank once for a buddy while it was filled back in the day drilling tanks where just catching on.. We drilled and all was fine until POP and out all the water rock and animals to carpet surf :) You have to be sure its not tempered what brand is the tank ? Perfecto ?? any of them are questionable All Gall and Oceanic ? 99.99 % drill able But you have to know of just be lucky the drilling is the easy part .. I know of a few that have experienced the same sound when drill a full tank I'll never do it again That was 1979 or 80 and I still remember his wifes face ): I warned them But somehow it was my fault LOL
