    I am getting ready to drill my sump for an external pump and just have one quick question.

    The hole for the bulkhead...I was planning on making it about an 1''-2'' from the bottom....thats correct right?

    yep yep.. I would go with 2 inches, then you can get a pvc 90 and turn it so the intake is cloeser to the bottom.. its just a little extra piece of mind if your ato stops or water level gets too low..
