I am about to drill a hole in a glass sump and was wondering if I should use water or motor oil with the drill bit.

I am going to make a well around the hole with plumbers putty and have a diamond tip hole saw bit.....just wondering which is better!

    Thanks!

I always use 3 in 1 oil for the cut.
