    **Update**

    It's been about two weeks since the incident and I think I am going to loose the plate.

    Here is a picture of the original wound, lower right.

    I was encouraged by your replies but then three days ago one rib had pierced the flesh up by the mouth. Today when I got home from school it's tear was larger.

    from what i could tell you about mine is that they are pretty resiliant. one thing seems apparent is that they really dont grow very quickly so i would assume they may not heal very quickly either. i remeber a few days when my sleeper goby completely burried the fungia. it took me three days to realize something was missing. so i dug it out. it pretty much lookied like a brown decomposed skeleton but i gave it time and target fed persistantly. it did bounce back. it looked to be in worse shape than yours so i imagine yours should be fine with due time.
