make sure you tell your teacher to buckle up if they don't immediately do it when they get in the car....teachers like that. Use your turn signals every single time.

my biggest tip is to keep calm remember every1 is new and to not get tunnel vision and just focus on the road ahead of you. remember to watch your mirrors.every1 has to start someplace !! good luck

haha i did this about a year ago and i was scared to death but just remember stay calm, look out for other cars, watch for signs/lights and you will do great. After the first lesson you will get some confidence, then it will be much easier. Do you know if the car you are driving in as a brake on the passengers side? Mine did and that helps some too in case you do mess up;) good luck :) let us know how it goes

All really good info, been driving for almost 45 years now, but I remember when I had to do that, I was nervous as heck too but once you get behind the wheel you figure it out an you will be fine.

Best suggestion of all is on cell phone, but don't just leave it in pocket, leave it at home! you have not got any reason to have it when you driving right now.

Watched a young girl yesterday slam into the back end of a stopped semi because she was concentrating on her cell, wasn't a pretty site.
