Ok i got some zoas that took a week to open, now they look droopy, as if the sheath around them wont tighten up. What could cause this? my other zoa frags look great!

They came from a tank with 400W 20k metal halides so I dont think its light shock, though they did open better under just actinics the first couple of days they 'peeked'

Some take longer to acclimate, as long as they are not falling apart they should be fine.

ok dude, im gonna listen to you, but ONLY because you are smart. Sure there isnt anything i can do to appease them? I gave them a bit of John's gorg food he sent me when they first started to open to coax them out and it helped. They are some nice little hornets i picked up and I want them vibrant and multipling so i can trade :p

I would say stay with what you are doing if it is showing signs of working. Hang in there it sounds as though they are going to make you work for your pleasure, good luck.

Looks like you have a dino outbreak in your tank. I can see a string of it on the left polyp connecting to the rear center polyp. Make sure they are in a decent area of flow so no bad stuff can settle on them.

I had a frag like that recently. It took almost 1 1/2 weeks for them to open up. They just kind of sat there looking all scraggly for a while but they're perfect now :D
