I want to do dry rock for my 90g build I am thinking about 115lbs does that sound good? I really need to know of a place that sells very good dry rock I do not want to do LR again cause its hit or miss with algae. Need good places that sell dry rock thank you.

Ps. I have my 40h that has bubble algae should I just set out the LR and dry it out then scrub it down and put it into the 90?

You can get dry rock from Bulkreefsuppy.com, macrorocks.com and there are a couple others. I like the dry fiji from BRS.com. 115 lbs sounds good.

If your breaking down the other tank you can nuke your live rock, dry it for a few weeks and add that or sell it. I would nuke it, then use it in my sump and fuge.

I would do the dry for sure though and then just seed it with a few pounds of good LR.

I have read people saying it takes longer to cycle if you seed it then if you where just to let it cycle with a raw shrimp. I was thinking of bulkreefsupply have you used any of there rock? If so how was it? I also saw the punkani on there it looks great but 3.50 a pound I dunno... yeah I will nuke it then dry it and re use it.

Reefcleaners.org has some good base rock. I ordered from there and was pleased with the rock I got. Just email John and tell him what you need, great customer service.

Seeding speeds it up, but you should use the shrimp either way.

I have ordered twice from BulkReefSupply.com for rock. I got the Pukani dry rock, and love it.

If you are starting a new tank, it is okay to introduce that rock, for it has A LOT of dead organic material on it. However, it is extremely porous and light. I have a 84 gallon tank, and it is fully stocked with just 35 lbs of Pukani Rock. HUGE pieces weigh like 5-7 lbs.

I have heard ReefCleaners.org is great, and for the $$$ probably your best bet.

MarcoRocks.com has some great prices on Rock/Sand combo deals too.

If you went with BRS Pukani, I'd advise not to go anything over 75-80 lbs., otherwise, I doubt you'd be able to fit it in your tank.

Ditto on Reef Cleaners. I just got 400# of the stuff and it was very nice. UPS didn't like the shipment and tried their best to screw it up but it made it through.
