Can you put dry rock that is pre cycled directly into aquarium?

Okay so I'm going to order a 50 pound box of dry rock from macro tomorrow.

-I just got a 110 gallon reef tank from a friend. He sold most of the rock and coral though(only about ten pounds with candy cane, leather, and green zoo's on them.)
-I want to add 40 pounds of LR from my other, established tank and pile it all on top of the dry base rock and add all my corals(only about 8.)
-The 110 gallon came with a purple tang and 4 other fish.
-The rock i'm going to order is pre cycled and dry to get rid of all the dead stuff causing the spikes.
-If I rinse the dry rock well, can I just add it straight to the tank?

P.S. The tank has a deep sand bed so there is plenty of beneficial bacteria.

    I don't know what to do!! HELP!!!!!lol

If it truly is clean dry rock this should be no problem. Your live rock should seed it.

Will there be a big spike that will harm my fish and corals if i stick it straight into the tank. I am really scared because i have read many threads with mixed feelings ha ha

Iv seen a lot of mixed things on this too. I'm on the side that says it wont cause any kind of cycle. Iv added uncured rock to my aquarium before with no spike of any kind. You should wait tell the other end of this debate gets here before making your decision so you can hear both sides though.

if its dry rock , and has no living things on it, there will not be any die off, so your safe to add it to your tank, IMO

You could however cause some die off on your existing rock if you where to stack all new rock on top if it so the bacteria gets starved and suffocated

so add a little every so often is a good middle of the road solution IMO

+1 to Steve's comments. Dry rock doesn't have anything to die off so no spike. You said you are planning on putting the dry rock on the bottom and then adding your existing live rock on top of that so you should be fine to put all the dry rock in at once and then reposition the current live rock on top.

The rock macro has is nice rock... some of it is beautiful..
.. I used a bucket, added RO water to be safe..
And just swished a piece at a time.. I add dry rock to my tank, when needed..
    Never had a problem..
When it's set-up, show us some pictures..
