It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Are you going to cure it in the tank or another container?

When I cure dry rock, I seed it with a small amount of cured rock or sand from an established system. Just make sure you have adequate flow and the temp remains in the stable range as well as sg and it will cure all on it's own. You can add some biological matter for decay, but not necessary.

Then there is nothing to cure. Curing is for live rock.
You can just rinse off the rock and chuck it in. You will then need to cycle the tank.

I was under the impression that good, clean dry rock didn't need to be cured. I recently got 50 lbs of awesome rock from reefcleaners.org and I'm planning to only rinse it with ro water this weekend when I finally get around adding it to the tank.

Maybe brs cleans it differently than john?

Yes, getting everything in place while the tank cycles is an excellent plan IMO.

I used cured in a general way.

When I think cured I think of rock that has some amount of biological filter already built up.

Yes cured also means to me, that all biological die off has taken place and the rock is no longer contributing ammonia to the system.
