    hmmm thats a good question if the liter sand will go to the bottom, ill be honest whith ya on that one i dont know. but crushed coral if on the bottom of sand will work its way up to the top so it might. as far as affecting the denitrification it shuld still work pretty much the same with heavy sand or light sand

    Got me hanging as to when or if it will reappear. I got mine last January.

    It will be great if I can find some in my local HD. In the mea n time, I will probably do 1 - 2 inches of aragamax oolite sand in the main tank and save me the fustration of finding southdown and the likes. I didn't want to get CaribSea aragonite sand before cause I thought they are very expensive due to few of my LFS sell 20lbs for $24 - $25, but I just found this store recently and they sell Aragamax sand for $15.99 per 30lbs which is a reasonable price for me.

    I think that sounds about right. I think I recently paid about $30 for 70lbs.
