Thank you Corailline. I'm gonna order from marine depot for the sale. I've looked all over the Internet and no one has radium bulbs. What's your take on the 14k phoenix? I just hate changing something that works ya know

 

Phoenix is my favorite bulb, but they are not going to make them anymore.

I can not believe how fast MH bulbs are going by the way side. And Radium that is just not right. A lot of long time hobbyist with big tanks use Radium. Metal halide has always been my lighting of choice, but I can not deal with the heat or electric bill.

 

Phoenix is back in production. There are Radiums all over Ebay. I am using Hamilton bulbs.

I think MH production slowed down to account for over saturation in an area that was seeing rapid change to other fixtures. Now however, reading other sites, a lot of people are switching back and likely causing these shortages.

 

I'm not sure I trust ebay but I'll check it out. How's the hamilton bulb kevin?

 

Ebay is very, very safe. I like the Hamilton. I have used the DE and SE version.

 

Here's some happy corals! Corailline, does this look like a red planet? It's growing good but I'm not sure I trust the store I got it from.

 

It's weird, I'm growing 4 different species of montipora but the sunset Monti is one I can't keep successfully.
