Me too. I believe that and the spectrum of light has really changed quite a bit in my tank. Just ordered a set of 20k halide bulbs and and did one water change with coral pro. I've been dosing a bit heavy to slowly get the big 3 up to where they used to be. I'll keep you updated soon.

Please keep us posted. I use the same salt and was thinking about changing over to the blue bucket per LFS suggestion but now........ I think I'll stay with black....

I would stay with the pro scajeo. I listened to my LFS saying that the blue bucket will give better color with lower alk and while that may be true in theory, I regret ever changing. The chemistry is really different between the 2. I've lost a couple corals that must not have liked the lower alk. I've always kept it at 10-11 mark and with the blue it's much lower. I ofcourse made the change slowly so this was a gradual decrease in color but when I look at pics from just 7 months ago I'm amazed and pissed at the same time. My tank wasn't broke and I changed anyway so it's on me. I run biopellets and I've never had a problem with burnt tips and higher alk. I just hope I can get the color back, I'm bummed.

If anyone can do it, you can. I'm over the hair algae in my tank but all my numbers are low. I did a 20% water change yesterday and hoping that will help a bit. I've never had to dose in the past but I started that Monday. I need to get everything back up to where they need to be so I can attempt corals again. Until things are steady I won't risk losing anything else.

Thanks for the vote of confidence my friend. I hope to see corals in your tank soon though. Hopefully my bulbs will be in next week

Second water change done today and levels are looking excellent. Bulbs should be here soon so hopefully the colors will come back. Picked up some ORA baby clams today too. 2" and they look tiny next to my big squamousa. Grade A gold and blue maximas. 20160101_125947.jpg 20160101_130039.jpg

Thanks guys!!!! It's hit and miss with baby clams this small but being ORA there's a little better chance. I'm feeding them live phytoplankton daily for the next few months so hopefully they'll put some size on. There beautiful in person.
