Sorry to hear about the troubles. Not paying attention while work gets full of work... Glad they're coming right though. Your tank is sweet.

I just set up Nicky's tank with an LED and upstairs when its on, everything looks amazing. When I bring it downstairs and try it side by side with the halides, it just doesn't have the same rich, full appearance. I'm waiting a while longer before I give up on halides again!

I like the halide T5 combo but it annoyed me that I can't get 150 watt radiums anymore. The corals really like that bulb and when I switched salts and went to the Phoenix 14k the tank reacted negatively. I'm keeping the unit incase I ever switch or maybe one day I'll get a higher end unit with 250 watt bulbs. Cost right now is killing me so I'm hoping with leds and not running a chiller will help. Me and the wife decided if we're trying led then we're getting quality the first time so I think radion will fir the bill. Time will tell if the corals like the switch. I know I'm gonna miss the brightness of the halide/T5 gives.

They have LED/T5 combo fixtures.... pricey but I think will become more pops due to getting the advantages of the T5 with the shimmer, cooler operation & no bulb changes of the LED.

Thanks man. Happy with the progression so far. Now that we have a squamosa, gold maxima, and a deresa clam we just need our maxima/squamousa hybrid.

Came home tonight to find out that my wife suprised me with a frag of tyree undata in the reef tank. :D I've been wanting this for sometime, very thankful and excited to see how it does in our reef. This is under the halides, can't wait to see it under leds. 20160202_210258.jpg
