    I feel that information from many perspectives is the best way to go about learning so I would appreciate anything you (or anyone else) care to add... Besides, just because someone says your wrong doesnt mean that you are wrong! Its just their opinion.

    I have no experience with macro lenses, but will probably pick up a set of extension tubes (for ring shots). They allow a normal lens to focus much closer and can achieve a macro look for a fraction of the price. Some of them will not work with autofocus lenses, or can only be used on manual focus.
