I have a kenya tree that I had stuck in a shell to keep it upright and well ends up that the stagnent water within the shell has made it start to rot at it's base....I took it out and it has started to get better. The question is should I cut off the end that's rotting off (if the hermit crabs haven't already done the job)???

If it's already healing over then how do I get it to stay upright when in the tank...it was on the eggcrate in the tank @ the LFS. Just super glue it to a piece of rubble?

Yes cut the bottom off it will be totally fine. Super glue won't work, it will slime it off. Rubberband it to a rock for a couple weeks and it will attach.

Kenya tree is the hardiest coral I've ever seen. It will make it. Another trick is to put your kenya tree and live rock rubble in a short glass. It will attach in no time.

+1. I had a emerald crab who likes to trim my 6" x 6" kenya tree and a few weeks later, I had 20+ kenya trees everywhere. Even one on koralia 4 body.

better that than anthelia or xenia which is harder to remove than kenya. i actaully plan on re-aranging my rockwork tomorrow (thread from today) and i have a friend coming over whos onlyl job will be to remove all three of these from any rock i find to have it on them. already have saltwater made up and im going to do a water change and use the old water still in the bin to use as a working station. im going to try to scrape it off with a stiff carpet brush. wish me luck

I'd go further than just brush. Chip off the piece of rock where kenya tree is attached because a new piece will grow from any remaining part of it. Good luck.
