can you take a pic of how the return actually comes through the tank?
you might be able to lower the water level and fix it.

    easy.
you can probably cut the pvc after the T on both sides and get a peice that slipes on the pvc with the other side threaded. then screw your loc line into that so your returns are close to the top of the water. total of maybe 2 dollars in pvc fittings

i have no idea why whoever built your tank did it that way!?

Ok, i kind of get what your saying, so basically cut off the 90 and just get a threaded coupler and screw in my loc line directly straight like that? now my next question is he put dual outlets as you can see, is this completely needed? he told me it was a good idea to eliminate dead spots, but one side has barely any water coming out of it it seems, and the other is strong, i can probably just cut off and put a cap on it? and only have one return rather then 2? and there are no deadspots in my tank as im running a mp40 and an mp10 both at wide open lol

    you got it!
you could always buy a new locline with only 1 output, but you already have the double ones so i would just use those. plus it looks like you have enough additional flow lol
once you do that just set one of the locline ends near the surface of the water so when the power goes out it starts gulping air in. your problems should be solved after that.
