I have two duncan corals that i got about 3 weeks ago and they have been very healthy and growing like wild fire but they are not growing at all in length. Their sprouting heads like crazy and the heads are growing big as well but the stem isnt growing at all and I dont know why is that normal?

There are a coulpe of different types of duncans readily available. One is more branching, and the other sort of forms a large ball(shorter branches). Your's sounds like the kind that has the shorter branching, and it will just take time before they spread out a bit. Everything is normal, and as long as you see new heads sprouting you are good.

I currently just bought 2 heads from a local reef shop.
How long does it usually take for the heads to come out?

Well depending on your water quality and lighting and how often you feed them they grow like wild fire lol got mine one with 5 heads and the other with 2 heads 3 weeks later the 5 header now has about 11 heads and the 2 header now has 7 heads oh not to mention they were the size of dimes and now their half dollar size.

My water conditions are all good. I currently have several other lps corals thriving. as for my lighting I am running a more then sufficient led system.
I heard that they don't necessarily like alot of light so I recently placed it lower in my tank

Do they usually take their time to come out or? I know all of my other corals were out and feeding within a few hours. This guy has been in there for over 24 hours

I was lucky enough that mine came out the same day I got them an hours or two later but most do take some time to get acclimated and come out fully.
