    Ok,
I just got a duncan coral and I had a few questions about it.
It has 4 heads. Do the heads split or do they grow more heads?
Also there are 2 spots where the store had fragged heads off of it, will new heads grow back in these spots or just grow somewhere else?
I guess that question also comes back to the question if they split or grow more heads.

They kind of sprout new heads off of the branches. Old heads that hve been fragged off will not grow back.

they will grow new polyps. IMO they grow rather fast. Last summer I bought 2 polyps and now have over 13!

They do not share their food (with the exception of the new baby polyps that come out) so you will need to give meaty morsels to each polyp. I dose coral freenzy a couple times a week (target on each coral) and then a couple times a week I place either bits of krill or silversides on each polyp

Yeah, they kind of grow like a frogspawn, or hammer. Except unlike those corals, the duncans readily take meaty foods.

I have been giving each head some frozen bloodworms. Will this work or do I need to get krill?
It seems to really love the stuff though. It grabs ahold of the food quickly

The duncans need to fed meaty foods on a regular basis. krill, silversides, brine and mysis shrimp are all good choices. My duncans are pigs and target feed them twice a week.

My hammer and frogspawns really don't take meaty foods at all. I do shoot the finer foods at the coral heads though.

Now my bubble, and plate corals all eat like pigs and eat Krill, mysis is not enough for them. The acans and micros I feed mysis.
