Hey guys, I recently got Australian Duncan Corals and am absolutely loving them. One thing I have a problem with is for the last 20ish hours they have looked like this:

And this is what they usually look like. I've had them for a little over 2 weeks.

    Thanks in advance guys.

my hairy mushrooms do that every now and then. It is like they need a break then they are big and fluffy again. I have to agree with above. Perhaps pooping.

Thanks for the input roger. Anyone else. I'm not really familiar with duncans either, but Kip is getting kind of worried and I kind of suffer because I got her into the hobby so I'm always responsible for fixing it :p

I have duncans and at times mine will do that. I notice for a day or two they will look like that and then will open up again and look nice and full.

Just make sure the usual things....parameters ok, good flow on them, are you feeding them (I give mine krill a couple times a week and target feed coral freenzy), anything picking on them?

I wouldnt worry about that too much right now. I think it is just something they do. Mine is growing rapidly and it does that

have you been feeding them? I started out with a colony of 5 and now I have around 25..I feeld them once or twice a week. Just take a baster and shoot a little mysis their way. They love it...

I have had one for over a month and have also noticed mine doing the same thing. I moved it to a spot with a little less flow and now it is doing great. The only time it closes is at night and when my cleaning crew bump into them. Wouldn't worry unless it stays closed

I am noticing mine doing that even a little bit more...it might have something to do with new polyps or growth maybe? Mine has gone from 3 polyps to over 10 polyps in a matter of a few months. I am starting to think that they close to grow...just my opinion
