I feed peices of silersides to our candy canes and our duncans. They go crazy. I have read here on 3reef that they feed better at night. I am trying this tonight. If you go to MarineDepot.com you can find some Aquatic Tongs. They are long and with a little practice, target feeding will be a snap. I target feed every three days. It seems to be the perfect balance for my tank. You should see our duncan. I just saw that we have a new head popping up. Also, our acans are splitting like crazy. Oh, marine snow or plankton will help grow corals well too.

unthaw the cube in a cup of RO water, swirl it around to get some of the juices knocked out of it, drain it. Repeat again. Then squirt some of your tank water in there to get the salts on the food, you never ever want to feed(corals especially) freshwater things to saltwater things, it can be very unhealthy and I have actually lost an acan a few years back doing it. About the turkey baster, they work GREAT! but I would highly suggest just going to the store and buy a brand new one just for your tank, cross contamination can be leathal to the inhabitants and it is just safer to buy one just for the tank. Make sure to rinse it a couple times in RO water as well to rid it of any debris or gunk.

Tea strainers work really well to wash off the binding material from the frozen food.
