i have another thread where i am treating ich on my tank as of this writing.
my question is this: the medication i am using recommends to turn my skimmer off until i finish dosing. which is and will be a couple of days. how long can my tank go without skimmer and what will be the adverse effect of this. i have cut down on my feeding but still have to to boost their immunity.
thanks for any input. this is for a 135g fowlr tank. :)

The tank will be fine. Just follow the directions and everything should work out.

Some people don't even use skimmers. As long as your water is getting enough oxygen in it it'll be ok.
My buddy has a 55g that's pretty stocked and he doesn't use a skimmer. Everythings fine. Its not recommended but it works.

Agreed, I ran skimmerless for months, you'll be fine and most likely see little to no effect.
