Ok so what is the general rule of thumb with a durso setup. How far down below the water overflow line should they go. I have never used a durso setup before. I have 2 overflow boxes in my 125g tank and I built 2 durso's out of 1.5" pvc capped the top drilled a vent hole did a t with 90.

If I remember correctly, the very top of the 90 deg. should be 2" from the top of the tank's rim. Someone correct me if am wrong plz.

1-2" drop would be ideal to take the scum off the top. The water level will be in the middle of the street L.

You may need to play with the exact height depending on noise and such.
