from what iv heard flames are ok. i know a lot of people who get flames for their reef. i heard they are the least likely to nip at coral. but every fish is different with their own personalities. i have a bicolor who is supposed to be the worst and she only likes acans. havent had a problem otherwise. so just be prepared to bring the fish you choose back. good luck!

He died after I added a B&W Clown (which also started my ich problem), so my guess is that it was ich that killed him.

I, personally have always had bad luck with Dwarf Angels, however, they really aren't supposed to be that hard to care for.

Also, Lemonpeels are a little harder to care for than a Flame or Coral Beauty for instance.

i know a few people with coral beauties as well...id say your best bet would be between a flame or coral beauty.

    Bummer man! Very sorry:(

How many have died on you? I know it usually isnt the aquarists fault. These fish just sometimes die randomly

It is definitly in between those two!

So, we were planning 5 fish total for our 30 (we have 2 now) and maybe a 6 th once we make a sump. Would an angel take up the place of say 2 fish?

I would do either a cherub or flame. They are the most reef safe from what I've heard. It also depends on what kind of Lps you keep. Acans, favia, lobo and brain are all more likely to get picked at. The less 'fleshy' ones are less likely to get nipped at like torch, frog, hammer.

If you want an angel I'd only get 4-5 fish. And add the angel last.
