One of my family members wants to give me their Dwarf Angelfish. It's either a Lemonpeel or Yellow Angelfish. Would it be okay in my tank? Also, will it nip at corals?

whats your tank? size and occupants? But there is decent chance it'll nip corals.

29 gallon. 2 Ocellaris Clowns and 2 Chromis. I'm getting a skimmer from lillys Grandad so that should help as I only have a HOB filter ATM. I was told that as long as I have algae in the tank, the Angel will leave corals alone, which is good because GHA is starting to overrun my tank

Feed them a variety of pellet, frozen, freeze dried, and maybe a bit of live sponge to lower the chances of the fish eating corals. There's no guarantee.

I'll try that. It should be okay with my current livestock, right? I also have a Peppermint Shrimp. He wouldn't bother that, would he? Where can you buy live sponges? I've never see feeder sponges.

Yup live sponges will help greatly because they will have something to nip on instead of corals. Reefs2go, live aquaria and places like that sell sponges. Your LFS may be able to buy them for you

I'll see if my LFS could pick one up some time. They also want to give me a True Percula Clown but I think that that would be too much of a Bioload and it might fight with my other Clowns.

I personally wouldn't take the clown your right they might fight, also dont count on the angel taking care of your gha some dont really eat that much of it, you might want to consider a lawn mower blennie and some gfo. With a small tank like that gfo will be pretty cheap to run and save you some problems in the long especially if you want to keep corals.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not counting on the Angel to get rid of my GHA. I'm not going to get the Clown. I don't have a top and don't have much money right now, so I don't want to risk a jumping Blenny. I'll look into GFO. I tried PhosGuard to no avail. Is GFO better? I don't have a reactor, does that matter?
