One LFS said that he has populated entire tanks with dwarf angelfish with no problems. Has anyone ever successfully kept two dwarf angelfish together?

Yes they have, but it seems to be the exception rather the standard. People on this site have kept two in a 55 before. When you see descriptions of fish, they are generalizations and many times it comes down to the individual fish. People have also tried to keep them in much larger tanks with no success. I don't think I would ever risk it unless I had a really big tank.

My coral beauty has killed two flame angels. My answer would be no. But, as always, there are exceptions to the rule.

I have a dwarf angel, african flameback in my 85g and we have considered taking him back cause of his attitude towards others. But he is so cool looking and such a good looking fish we are going to work around him. We lost two anthias this week and I am sure it was him that made one go over the edge. He had bitten the tail off of another. I can barely handle one in my tank, I cant imagine two. I would like to see how the lfs did that and how long it lasted.
