I've read in many MANY places that most angels are not compatable in reef tanks. On the other hand, ive heard many first hand experiences from people who have kept dwarf angels in reef tanks successfully.
So its a bit of a hit and miss to do with the indivudal angels am I right? I ask because I was thinking of adding either an eibli angel or a bicolour angel to my 55 reef tank when its ready to have livestock added. Im also planning on adding 3 Yellowtail Damsels (gonna try go for a male and 2 females) as well as a longnose hawkfish (maybe a pair) and possibly a yellow tang.
Havent really decided on corals that I want to add yet (the tank is actually still being converted to saltwater) but im thinking of plating corals because I really like them so some montis maybe and I also really like Acros like birdsnest and staghorns and things like this.
    Thoughts?

I'll never set up a reef tank without an angel. Angelfish make the tank IMO. I currently have a C. bispinosa (Coral Beauty) and I have a P. diacanthus (Regal Angel) that will be here Tuesday. That being said the two Angels you are considering are very likely to nip at corals. Both C. eibli and C. bicolor feed on coral polyps in the wild and are known to be "nippers" in aquariums. If your looking for a angel that most likely won't nip I would try C. multicolor.

Hmmm something for me to think about then! Maybe either a flameback or coral beauty then if it comes to it :)

i have a coral beauty, and he does nip at 1 particular piece of my sps, but it doesnt bother me. He seems to only bother that one piece, and it grows like a weed anyhow. Ide keep him over a little nipping any day of the week. They are such amazing and colorful fish!

I've had a Lemonpeel angel for over a year and he's been ok. There is just one thing. To me the corals are nice but the fish is what it's all about. I've had a few corals I've lost to angels and tangs attacking them. One was an Open Brain and another was a Gonipora. Zoe's didn't fair well either. The way I look at and I've been handling saltwater tanks for 20 years, I learn as I go on. We all pay a price. I just put 3 Bangaii Cardinals in my tank a week ago and they are nowhere to be found. I've tried all kinds of fish and it's all about survival! It's life in the tank. I have an Asphur Angel and he's had his moments but I would rather have him than any coral. IMO

I agree with both of these posts. Angelfish bring a personality to a tank that a coral can't. I would sacrifice a little nipping for an Angelfish any day.
