I am tempted to pull the trigger on a dwarf angel. In the early nineties I kept a Coral Beauty without problems, but I didn't have acros or star polyps like I have now.  :-/

Thinking about a small Coral Beauty or a Cherub. I would like a resplendent which is supposed to be safe, but can't afford it.  ;)

    Here are some pics.

Anyone throw the dice? What was your experience?

Well I have heard success stories with Pygmy, Coral beauty and Flame. I think it is all a dice roll with angels though. Its funny because I was looking at angels last week and pondering. Best of luck and if you find one that is reefsafe you can ship it to me ;)

I decided that I'll go for a pygmy. i know it's a risk, but I just like them and I want to try if it works.

I don't like this poll stuff. I would like to see, what the result is, but I have to vote for that. But I can't vote here, because I don't have an idea.
Wouldn't it make sense to have the option to see the vote without voting? Like an extra option called "No experience" or something.

I love my Coral Beauty's I have one in each tank and they have great personality and havent even looked at any corals. I have some of the long tenticle ones that you would think they would nip at but dont. I also have a flame angel but he is in quaranteen and hasent seen my display tanks yet.

I have an acro, xenia, and other tempting angel fair with a baby Imperator right now, not even looking in thier general direction. Adult dwarfs will nip things, in my exp. the small juvi's and babies are completley reef safe. I'ld get as small as possible and feed copiously without killing your parameters. My old flame lived for 2 years in a mini-reef and killed about 3 zoo polyps, that was the extent of his life long damage total (besides the price).... :)

My favorite fish is my coral beauty. It has been extremely well behaved, and the only thing that I suspect it has nipped at was a small xenia colony. I've recently added 2 new colonies and haven't noticed any problems.

Ditto w/ GraviT. But this does not bother me since i have about 150 xenias in my tank. He is a brute to any new fish additions.

Wow this is great. Thanks guys.
This would be my last fish (I think ;D ) so no worries there.

I posted this on RC too and so far
Coral Beautys (several) - no major probs at all
Flame angels (1) - nip at Acros, polyps come out at night, still grows.
Cherub (1) - nipped at clam mantles, removed and replaced with a Coral Beauty which has been well behaved.

Coral Beauty is looking good! Seems its rep is worse than it's bite.

Not anymore. I played with the code and it now displays the results and your voting options. :)
