I have had a humma for 6 years now and is a whopping 3 inches!! i am beyond worrying about his health (he has lived through numerous wipe outs) and given up any hope of his size changing. just wondering if anyone has an idea of what could have caused this.
he was one of my initial purchases along with a maroon clown (who dwarfs him) and 3 yellow tail damels that are about half his size. the picture is the best i had on my computer hes the white blur at the bottom

other more recent additions but still all at least a year in the tank
    naso tang
    powder blue tang
    queen angel
    potters angel
    sleeper goby

Do you think that the other fish are stealing his food?

mine gone through growth spurts. i bought him only about an inch or less long. He was the scrapper of the group. so for like 6months showed no growth even though he was fed clam and other things on the half shell or if i wanted to watch full shell. but hes about 3 now and starting to grow pretty regular. I always try to feed mine things that they would go after since they have a beak/teeth, he gets alot of shell fish. So make sure yours is getting fed well and should be no worries.

i remember when i was young and stupid and first beginning in this hobby i had a yellow tang in a 20 gallon tank, i had him in there for 2 years yet he never exceeded 3 inches. it could have been lack of space malnutrition or a number of other things. however i dont know what this may in your case though, your tank appears to be very healthy however it looks a bit packed with two very large tangs you recently added along with the two angels, with this list of fish you should plan on upgrading to a very large tank in the near future.

what are the other livestock present in your tank?

i feed him mostly frozen food consisting of mostly clams, squid and other mixes. he has always eaten and and never showed signs of stress outside growth. he was also never one to fight with other fish. i am not concerned was just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.
