ive kept dwarf lions before, but not more than one at a time. i want to do a lionfish tank (2-3 dwarf lions) with the 55 gallon im about to setup. but i dont know if theyll be aggressive or not towards each other. what does everyone think?

PS- i have one on hold right now till it eats, so the answers would be much appreciated!

    thanks guys

I think 55G is too small for multiple lionfish, IMHO. Even being dwarfs, they will reach 12" in length and are "dirty" fish for such a relatively small tank. You will need heavy filtration and skimming to keep them healthy.
That being said though, lions can be kept together, they are not aggressive species, even though they are "aggressive eaters." Dwarf lions are generally more shy than their volitans counterparts.

You are right, I got braintied lol. 7" is still pretty big though, they produce a ton of waste. I had a fuzzy that grew to 5" before he died.

It was tough getting my fuzzy to eat frozen krill. He went 4 weeks without eating. My current volitans is going on 3 weeks without eating too. His last meal was a complete binge. He stole everything I dropped in the tank from my puffer. It was so bad he coughed up 3 pieces of krill and hasn't eaten since. If he doesn't eat soon, I will have to target feed him some garlic and cyclopeez slurry to keep his energy up. :(
Good luck with your dwarf, I'm sure he will be fine.
