After attempting to raise them in a larger system and losing over half of the original 12 I decided to move the remaining 5 out of the 20 gallon display fuge and into a 1.5 gallon Tetra mini bow. This morning I discovered a surviving baby in the fuge so now the mini is home to
    6 h. zosterae
    2 dwarf pipefish
    2 Nass. Vibex
    5 dwarf ceriths
    3 mini feather dusters

I used about a cup of sand from my fuge and took a gallon of water from the system. Water quality is going to be a small issue anyway due to the amount of live baby brine they require daily.

Here's a few pics to start with.

I really can't stand the yellow look of the 7watt incandescent bulb so I ordered a 9 bulb strip of 1 watt LEDs and am going to mod the hood. :)

If you click on pics 2 and 3 you can see the female pipefish in the fake grass on the extreme left. She's standing on her tail which is what they do. They mimic blades of grass and ambush pod and bbs that get to close or close enough if your pipefish lol. The dwarfs require 2 daily feedings of bbs and keep thier water clean. That's about all I have to do for them which is way less than they do for me. ;D

Yepyep water from the DT system is the plan for changes. No big deal at all considering a 10% is only a little more than a 20 oz. waterbottle full. Quickest water changes ever!;D

As far as the macro shots go it will probably be after the LED mod is done. I only have a Kodak point and shoot and the yellow in the light is messing with the auto exposure on macro function to much to get clear pics. I tried this morning.

What do you mean way less than they do for you? By keeping you busy they keep you out of trouble.;D::)

Great looking setup, best of luck.

    Lunchtime!

A couple of macro shots. The little specks in the water are baby brine.

I need to get one of those cheap tabletop tripods lol
