I was a smoker for over 30 years, the thing that finally worked for me was a slow reduction in the amount I smoked for a month or so, when I was down to one or two smokes a day I stopped completely. It takes 3 days for your body to kick the addiction, then a month for your mind to break the habit of smoking.

It makes no difference how you do it. What works for one may not work for another. The key is determination, you have to want to quit. If you don't want to quit from the bottom of your heart, nothing is going to work for you.

Good luck, I hope you have the determination to do it.

I know you can all do it!! Here's a big dose of encouragement!! Think how much better you will feel when you stop and what you are doing for your health (not to mention those around you).

    Be strong!!

I hope it sticks with you this time too;)
To each his own. I've found in the past that if you don't have the zeal to quit, it won't happen. This is the first time that I've tried quitting but didn't really want to.

Thanks for the encouragement Kacy. Those around me nag me all the time about my smoking.:gossip:

It might make quitting harder since you can technically smoke these indoors in some public areas, so now nicotine is more available to you. I used to smoke, but after my raving days where I would smoke a few packs in one night, my lungs and mind totally reject it now.

One method that has helped me smoke less is to slowly make certain personal areas smoke-free. I thankfully would never smoke in my apt. and that def helps. I used to smoke in my car, but then made that off limits as well. My gf being pregnant just helps me reinforce that I can't smoke in the car even more as she can smell it in a half a second.

My favorite cigs of the day are the first one in the morning, after a meal, & really super late at night when noone's around. Being that I don't drink at all (quit when I turned 21 :)) I don't have that worry. I'm slowly starting to skip the late one but the after meal ones are tough stuff! I sometimes have a really guilty cig after the gym, what a dope I am.

I don't smoke cigarettes but I think this might be an enjoyable and inexpensive way to do it without smoking real ones. How much is it?

    Yep it sure does.
Gonna get that refill when the menthol is done.

I think they range from about $50 - $150 depending of brand etc.
    Lol. Thanks;)
