Bought these Polyps and they seem to be doing ok, only had them a few days. How long does it take for them to get used to the tank and be fully open all the time? They open for a bit then close up then open for a bit again. Normal?

They just could be getting used to your light and flow too. Zoas and Palys I have noticed can be very particular on their settings. Just give him time, he looks great in the picture.

I seen them take up to a week, and even then every once in a while they close up.

Yeah sometimes it takes them a little bit to get settled in, but also when you see them closed make sure one of your clean up crew hasn't just walked over them. I love my blue leg hermits, but they tap dance on my zoa's and make them close up sometimes. Heck, I think the hermits are playing wack a zoa at the local coral arcade sometimes...little punks! ;D;D;D

did you dip them before going into the tank? a lot of times these guys have predators that come in on them. I had nudibranchs on mine and a worm eating them. If they don't fully open in a couple of days I would dip them in coral Rx.

    +1 ^

I dip all my corals in a Coral RX, iodine, and flatworm exit solution.

They may be eating pests so that would be a good thing. If so once they eat everything they want, they'll leave them alone. It's all part of having a reef tank. Cleaners are a must but they can be annoying at times. ;)
